Carpet Cleaning & Stain Removal Canberra
How Ell Got Her Bond Back with Our Expert Carpet Cleaning
See our AMAZING RESULTS below!

When I, Nicholas Martinuzzi, started Exceed Carpet Cleaning, it was with a simple goal — help people feel proud of their carpets again. Ell reached out to us in Canberra just before her lease was ending, completely stressed out about the pet stains in her rental. She needed professional carpet cleaning and stain removal in Canberra to pass inspection and get her full bond back.
If you’re dealing with a similar move-out or pet stain problem, keep reading to see what we did — and how we might be able to help you too.
Here’s Ell’s Story
Ell had one big concern: her carpets were stained from her dog — both urine and feces — and her lease was ending fast. Like many renters in Canberra, she needed to meet strict end-of-lease cleaning standards, and the pet stains meant her bond could be at risk. She knew a standard clean wouldn’t cut it. That’s where we came in.

What We Found When We Arrived
We showed up ready to take action — but we always start with an honest assessment.
As soon as I walked into Lacey’s home, the odor hit me like a wave. It was that sharp ammonia-like smell that comes from deep-set dog urine in carpet fibers and padding. Her beige carpet showed no obvious stains from a distance, but once we got down low and used our UV light, it told a different story — multiple urine spots, some old and some more recent. You could even see the traffic areas were darker and a little matted from regular foot traffic and residue.
One thing that stood out was the failed DIY attempts. There was residue from powders and sprays that had built up over time, which can actually trap odor instead of eliminate it. It’s a common issue — people try to fix it themselves but end up sealing in the smell.
How We Handled This Pet Stain Emergency
Our process started with a targeted pre-treatment of the pet urine areas. We use a powerful enzyme-based solution designed to break down the urea crystals that cause those pungent odors. It’s not just surface-level — this treatment penetrates deep into the fibers and the carpet backing.
Once the solution had time to work, we used our specialized urine extraction tools to pull out the broken-down contaminants — right from the base of the carpet. We then moved on to treat the traffic lanes and stubborn spots, using our hot water extraction system to lift dirt, oils, and embedded grime.
Throughout the job, we paid close attention to every spot. It’s not just about getting the carpet “clean” — it’s about making it feel brand new again. We did multiple passes where needed, adjusting the pressure and solution strength to ensure we weren’t just cleaning — we were restoring.
The Results? Night and Day Difference
The transformation was incredible. The odor was completely gone — not masked, not perfumed, but truly removed. You know that feeling when you walk into a freshly cleaned room and it just feels crisp? That’s what we were going for, and we hit it.
Lacey’s carpet looked brighter, the fibers were fluffed back to life, and it felt soft underfoot again — almost like new paws had walked in instead of the old mess that was there before. Even the heavy traffic areas looked revitalized.
She was thrilled. And honestly, so was I. These are the kinds of wins we live for.
And what does Ell think?
Here’s what Ell had to say:
“Nick is great! Easy to communicate with, book in and answered my countless questions. And most importantly, the carpets look amazing!! Even got some stains out that have probably been there for years. Thank you Nick!”
I love getting this kind of feedback. At Exceed Carpet Cleaning, we don’t just clean carpets — we help people feel confident in their homes again, especially during stressful move-outs.
